You are scheduled for an upcoming light therapy treatment at Vital Dermatology. Please review the following:
Phototherapy is ultraviolet light used to treat a variety of skin diseases. You will be exposed to UV light for a varying length of time which can help reduce inflammation in the skin.
Expectations
-Treatment visits 2 times per week. Results may take weeks to months. There is a small possibility you may not experience improvement despite appropriate treatment.
-Light therapy is not a permanent cure and maintenance treatments may be required.
Cost-Estimate
-A co-pay or co-insurance may be required for each treatment visit. It is the patient’s responsibility to understand their insurance benefits, however, Vital Dermatology may provide a courtesy benefits investigation and cost-estimate. You may also call your insurance to investigate your coverage for the billing code 96910.
Preparing for Your Treatment

-Wear underwear/panties during your treatment unless otherwise directed. Wear a similar style of undergarments consistently for each treatment.
-Apply sunscreen SPF 50 to your face within 30 minutes prior to your light therapy appointment unless otherwise directed.
